I am Persuaded

It’s a new day! How I love those words. Every morning they are my first thoughts. No matter what the day may bring or what yesterday delivered to my doorstep, I know the truth. Yesterday is gone, today is a gift. The events of the day are not formed yet so all things are possible when God is with you. 

As I get up, ready to face the day, three words echo in my mind and I confess them.

“I am persuaded.” 

I dwell on that thought for a few seconds and I affirm them again. I am persuaded.

I am persuaded that nothing can separate me from the love of God that is revealed in Jesus Christ, my Lord. 

I am persuaded that if God is for me, who can be against me? I am persuaded that no weapon formed against me shall prosper. I am persuaded that I can do all things through Him that strengthens me. I am persuaded that no matter what may come against me, God is with me and He will fight my battles for me, I only need to stand still and trust in Him.

I am persuaded that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I am persuaded that in Christ, I am a new creation. The old has passed, the new has come.  

I am persuaded that I am forgiven. I am persuaded that in Jesus Christ there is no condemnation.

I am persuaded of all the things that Jesus Christ stood for and gave His life for. 

How we start our day is our own personal choice. I have learned that in every new day lies a great opportunity for us to turn our lives around. To do better and greater than before.

It’s a new day.  How can we not embrace that gift and make the most of our day in honor of Him?

Choose to embrace the gift of a new day.
